Albert
Hodsdon
December 11, 2024
Albert Edgar Hodsdon, 89, of Piermont, NH died after many years of failing health on December 11, 2024, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH.
Albert was born in Piermont on June 18, 1935, to Harrison and Edith (Childs) Hodsdon. He was raised on the family farm on the "Back Road" – NH route 10- and worked on the farm until he sold the dairy herd in the late 1970's, keeping some heifers.
As a young lad he especially enjoyed ice skating and walking on stilts. Albert was always busy and willing to offer help when it was called for or not. He also loved to visit and talk with either friends or strangers – never shy – always with a positive attitude.
Following the dairy herd sale, he kept busy sugaring in the spring, cutting and selling firewood, selling stone from walls on his property and berry picking local farms.
He was predeceased by his parents Harrison and Edith Hodsdon, three older sisters, Bertha (Hodsdon) Blicker, Jean Hodsdon and Agnes (Hodsdon) Perkins.
He is survived by two nephews, Charlie Blicker of Milton, MA and Bruce Perkins of DeRuyter, NY. He is also survived by two schoolmates, Ronald Gardner who recently shared Albert's home with him and Ralph Stygles both of Piermont, NH.
Services will be posted at a later date.
