Groton, VT-  Albert Gene "Typer" Wilson, 78, of Wilson Road, died at his home on Friday, April 26, 2019.

Typer was born in Groton on May 3, 1940 to Robert and Pearl (Phelps) Wilson.  His father died when he was 12 and he was later raised by Wesley Morrison following his marriage to his mother Pearl.

For over 45 years, he was employed in the granite industry at Wells and Lamson, Swenson's, and Rock of Ages.  On July 24, 1959 he married Betty E. Ashford.

A lover of the outdoors, Typer enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.  He especially liked John Deere tractors.

He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Betty E. Wilson on November 6, 2015, and by his brother Robert G. Wilson, Jr. on August 1, 2003.

He is survived by his two children, Cindy Waterhouse and husband Lee and Wesley "Bo" Wilson and wife Brittney, both of Groton; four grandchildren, Carissa, Daniel, Ashlee, and Gage; two great grandchildren, Dominic and Zoey; several half sisters and a half brother; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In keeping with Typer's wishes, there are no public services being planned.
