Alfa (Martin) Patten entered into eternal peace on September 26, 2022, after a long battle with illness.

Born on the 16 ^th of June 1936, she married Rudolph Gautreau in November 1954, and is survived by the four children she raised with him (Gary, Crystal, Jeffrey, and Renée) in Bradford, Vermont.  She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Later in life she married Edward Patten, and they had almost 35 years together in Haverhill, NH, before his passing on May 23, 2013.

Alfa was very involved in community affairs of Bradford and went on to work as the administrative assistant at Bradford Academy and at Oxbow High School where she eventually retired with over 25 years of service. She was also a member of the Haverhill First Congregational Church and UCC Women's Fellowship, where she performed the duties of Treasurer.

Her family would like to thank the entire staff of Hanover Terrace and Bayada Hospice for watching over Alfa and providing loving care during her final years.
