Woodsville, NH – Alfred M. Lamarre, 86, died Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Cottage Hospital following a period of declining health.

He was born in Haverhill, NH, February 18, 1929, a son of Alfred A. and Grace (Farnsworth) Lamarre. Early in his working career he was an auto mechanic at the former H.O. Taylor Chevrolet in Wells River, VT. He later was employed as a plumber and worked for several years for the former Scruggs Hardware of Woodsville. He started his own business operating as Alfred's Plumbing & Heating.

He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn (Currier) Lamarre on February 12, 2003 and a son, Dennis L. Lamarre on March 10, 2010.

Survivors include four sons, twins Robert A. Lamarre and wife Laura of Denver, CO and Albert L. Lamarre and wife Janet of Dublin, CA, Alan M. Lamarre and wife Betty of Dover, NH, and Bruce L. Lamarre and wife Julie of Piermont, NH; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Albert Lamarre and wife Caroline of Bath, NH; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins; and by a dear friend, Beth Mayette of Woodsville.

In keeping with Alfred's wishes there will be no public services observed.

Burial will take place in the Pettyboro Cemetery, Bath, NH.
