Alice
Dean
May 26, 2025
Alice Jean Dean, 74, of Woodsville, NH, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, at Grafton County Home, with family by her bedside, following a brief diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
Born on October 30, 1950, in Woodville, NH, Alice was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Virginia (Gravett) Woods. She was raised in Bath, NH, where she developed her lifelong dedication to caring for others.
After graduating from high school, Alice began her career as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) at Grafton County Home, where she served residents for 15 years. She later brought her skills to Glencliff Home for the Elderly, continued with private caregiving, and eventually joined Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, where she worked until her retirement.
Outside of her work, Alice found joy in simple pleasures and special traditions. She loved attending country concerts, often accompanied by her daughters. One of her favorite places was Old Orchard Beach in Maine. She made it a point to take her daughters camping every year at Bayley's Campground when they were younger. In quieter moments, Alice enjoyed relaxing at home playing computer games.
Alice was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Michael Woods.
She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Lisa Murray of Wells River, VT, and Crystal Green and husband Charlie of Bath, NH; her five grandchildren: Alexa, Billy, Avery, Benjamin, and Alaina; and her great-grandchildren: Peyton, Zayden, Oliver, Ella, and two more little ones expected later this year.
A private celebration of life will be held at the family's convenience.
