Woodsville, NH Alice Moran, 90, died October 17, 2011 at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Woodsville, a daughter of James and Mary (Higgins) Moran, and graduated from Woodsville High School, Class of 1938 and then from the University of New Hampshire in 1942. Alice had a long career with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture as a microbiologist having worked in Kentucky, Georgia, Iowa, and Washington, DC. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister Winnifred Moran, and twin sister Catherine Moran. Survivors include numerous cousins. Family and friends are invited to a visitation period on Monday from 9 AM to 9:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 31st, at 10 AM in St. Joseph s Catholic Church, 15 Pine Street,Woodsville, NH with Father Jeffrey Statz, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Matthews Cemetery, Whitefield, NH.
