Alice E Thompson, 73, of East Corinth, VT, died in her sleep on July 4th, 2026, following a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Alice was born on June 24th, 1953, in Hanover NH to parents Margaret Pressey Bailey and Donald Bailey. She was raised in Thetford VT and graduated from Thetford Academy in 1972. She met her future husband, Keith Thompson, while attending a class at the technical center at Oxbow High School.
Alice and Keith were married on July 5th, 1974, and raised three daughters (Alison, Rose and Kellie) in East Corinth. Alice enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader when her girls were young, including taking the troop on many camping trips. She loved family cookouts, liked to read, bake cookies, working in her flower gardens, and enjoyed vacationing in Maine with her family and dear friend Bertlyne Getchell. Alice worked for many years at P&C Supermarket as a Frozen Foods Manager, and was also the Librarian at the Blake Memorial Library.
Alice is survived by her husband Keith Thompson of East Corinth, VT; daughters Alison Bruce and her husband Chris of Newbury VT, Rose Bogie and her husband Bud of East Corinth VT, and Kellie Thompson and her wife Nicole of Newbury VT. She is also survived by three grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Chase Bruce, Aivree Bruce and Callen Thompson; her mother Margaret Bailey; and sisters Nancy Manning, Donna Kendal, Sue Bailey and Tracy Pellerin; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Danny Bailey and her father Donald Bailey.
A graveside service will be held at the East Corinth Cemetery, Tillotson Ln, East Corinth, on Friday July 17th at 4pm with a gathering to follow at Keith and Alice’s home. Donations may be made to any Multiple Sclerosis foundation of your choice.
