Obituary

McIndoe Falls, VT Allan Ross Davis, 69, of Brook Circle, died on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Sweetsburg, Quebec, Canada, February 20, 1944, the son of Ross G. and Patricia (Benoit) Davis. Allan served with the U. S. Navy during Vietnam as a Second Class Aviation Fire Control Technician. He served aboard the U.S.S. Independence with Fighter Squadron VF-84. He traveled around the world during his military career and enjoyed traveling in his personal life. Allan was a self-employed builder and cabinet maker. He loved fishing, hunting, boating, and family gatherings at Moore Dam. Allan was a former member of the Moose Lodge and the Attleboro, MA Fire Department and Ambulance. He had lived in the Florida Keys for several years. He was predeceased by his parents, Patricia (Benoit) Davis on March 10, 2002 and Ross G. Davis on May 13, 2013. Survivors include his three children, Sherri Bearce and husband Wayne of Barnet, VT, Beth Lindstrom of Cabot, VT, and Scott Davis and wife Tammi of Barnet, VT; ten grandchildren, Crystal, Mathew, Brenden, Scott, Megan, Jill, Jared, Dakota, Hannah, and Denver; four great grandchildren, Taylor, Zayne, Natalie, and Adelynn; his brother, Dana Davis and wife Dale of Norton, MA; his companion, Sandy Hatley of McIndoe Falls; his former wife, Sandra Davis of St. Johnsbury, VT; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 21 from 6 to 8 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22, at 1 PM at the McIndoe Falls Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Howard Gaston from the West Barnet Presbyterian Church officiating.
