Alma “Peg” Hastings died on October 22, 2026, at the age of 97. She was born and raised in Newbury, Vermont, and lived in her prized home in the village for 73 years. She was a strong-willed, independent and hard-working woman. A true Vermonter. She was loving and proud of her four children, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Earl. Her humor, her spirit and her quiet wisdom will be deeply missed. She was a fierce foe of cancer, and was a long-time supporter of Dartmouth Cancer Center. There will be no services or calling hours.
