Groton, VT- Amy Sargent, 70, of Seyon Pond Road, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. She was born on June 3, 1951 to David F. and Henriette Maria (Gigler) Burroughs in Stadtkrankenhaus, Achaffenburg Germany.

Amy was a graduate of Newbury High School, Class of 1970. She worked for many years as a caregiver at Grafton County Nursing Home. Amy enjoyed a variety of past times, like puzzling, reading, dancing and bird watching. Amy could be found at the VFW for music jams and taking trips to Foxwoods was always a good time for her. She loved her sister's fried chicken and french fries. She was blessed with being able to spend a lot of time with her granddaughters.

Amy leaves behind her son Paul Emerson and wife Sasha of Groton, VT; her son Julian Emerson and partner Holli of Milford, NH; her brother David F. Burroughs II of Newbury, VT; and her four sisters; Reta B. Wain of Pike, NH, Wanita Webb and husband Paul of North Haverhill, NH, Kristen Smith and husband Kelvin of White River Junction, VT, and Glenda Faye of St. Johnsbury, VT.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Town House Cemetery in Newbury on Saturday June 4, 2022 at Noon.
