Wells River, VT- Ann E. Tyler, 65, of Main Street, died on March 1, 2010, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH. Ann was born in Newbury, VT, on July 28, 1944, to Kenneth L. and Katherine (Laturnau) Tyler. She was a graduate of Wells River High School. Ann served in the US Army, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant, and retired after 21 years of service. She last served in Washington State as a recruiter and worked in the VA system. Ann was a member and President of the Retired Women s Army Corps Veterans Association. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Woodsville, NH. Ann gave of her time to her Wells River Village community by serving as a Village trustee and auditor for the Town of Newbury and by volunteering as a greeter at the Welcome Center and for the Fourth of July committee, as-well-as at the Baldwin Memorial Library. She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth Tyler on October 23, 1978, and Katherine Tyler on October 19, 1998, and by her brothers James Kenneth Tyler on June 6, 1962, and Paul Denis Tyler on August 11, 2008. She is survived by her goddaughter, Karen Eddy and husband Stephen LaCroix of Burlington, VT, several cousins, and many friends. A graveside service is being planned in the spring, with the date and time to be announced. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Bath, NH.
