Woodsville, NH-Anna Hadgigeorge died on January 9, 2023, at the Grafton County Nursing Home after a long
battle with Alzheimer's Disease.  Anna was born on June 29, 1935, in Tsaritsani, Greece to Athanasios and Marika Gravanis. She also lived in Thessaloniki, Greece before coming to the United States as a teenager. After losing her father at a young age, the family immigrated to Haverhill, MA and started forging a life there. Anna graduated with an associate degree and held a managerial position at Raytheon before having her children.

Anna married George Hadgigeorge in 1963 and lived in Lowell, MA briefly before they had a house built in Tewksbury, MA, where they raised their two children, Thalia and Mary. In 1981, they bought their beautiful lake house in Mountain Lakes, NH, where many happy memories were made for  immediate and extended family over 40 years. Anna and George also owned a condominium in Myrtle Beach, SC, where they spent many winters.

Anna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known and loved for her culinary talents. She routinely fed the masses with her delicious Greek food. Thanksgiving will forever be remembered by many of us as a weekend long family celebration of feasting, laughing, and dancing. Anna started days in advance to prepare amazing appetizers, meals, and desserts for all to enjoy. Particularly memorable were the many pies and desserts she made and how excited we all were to devour them after every meal.

Anna's passion was travel, and she was fortunate to see a lot of the world with George. Among their favorite spots to visit were Costa del Sol, Spain, where they vacationed together. They also brought the whole family on several trips to Spain and an unforgettable trip to Greece.  Anna is predeceased by her husband George Hadgigeorge of Mountain Lakes, NH, and her brother Peter Gravanis of Toronto, Canada. She is survived by her sister Claire and husband Nestor Tzouros of Needham, MA, and her brother Nicholas and his wife Esther Gravanis of Easton, CT, as well as many nieces and nephews. Anna (also known as Yiayia to her grandchildren) will be lovingly missed by her daughter Thalia and son-in-law Bob Bessette of Mountain Lakes, NH; her daughter Mary Houde of Mountain Lakes, NH; her grandchildren Lianna Bessette and husband Scott Stelter of Tewksbury, MA; Maria Bessette of Lee, NH; and Antonio Houde of Mountain Lakes, NH. Anna was also able to meet her first great-grandchild, George Stelter, two weeks before she passed.
