Columbia, SC Arthur W. Bixby, 82, a former long time Haverhill and Warren resident died September 5, 2011 in Columbia. He was born in Laconia, NH, July 4, 1929, a son of Vernon and Gertrude Bixby. Arthur was a building contractor in the Upper Valley prior to his retirement and had built many homes during his career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling in his younger days and served as the Chief of the Haverhill Corner Fire Department for many years. Arthur was married to the former Rita Greenwood and her death was on September 12, 2011. Arthur is survived by sons Daniel and Steven, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister Dorothy and two brothers Reginald and David, along with several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be on October 29, 2011 at 2 PM in Warren Village Cemetery, Warren, NH with Pastor David Moore officiating.
