Obituary

Barnet, VT Audrey Lucille Bogie, 79, died on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, NH. She was born in Barnet, VT, November 19, 1931, one of the thirteen children of Arthur and Amanda (Cassady) Locke. She married Calvin S. Bogie on August 6, 1951. Audrey worked at the Littleton Shoe Shop early in her working career. She also worked at Kimball and Miles store in Barnet for many years. Audrey worked at the West Barnet Senior Meal Site for over 20 years. She did custom sewing out of her home and was an excellent cook, making homemade donuts, jams, jellies, and anything made from scratch. She enjoyed taking care of her flower and vegetable gardens, canning most of her produce. She drove school bus in the Barnet School System for over 20 years. Audrey was a devoted wife and caregiver to her family. She would always stop and lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was predeceased by a grandson, Nicholas J. Nick Bogie on March 31, 2011; five siblings, Louise Cassady, Marie Cassady, Pauline Ingraham, Roger Cassady, and Allen Cassady. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Calvin S. Bogie of Barnet, VT; seven children, Calvin S. Sherm Bogie, Jr. and wife Darlene of Barnet, Paula Stevenson and husband Richard of Barnet, Clark Chief Bogie and wife Patrice of Ryegate, VT, Laurie Bogie and companion Carl Jackson of Bradford, VT, Kelly Rae Bud Bogie and wife Brenda of Groton, VT, Betty Stewart and husband Jeff of Groton, VT; and John Tut Bogie and wife Cindy of McIndoe Falls, VT; eighteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; seven siblings, Ella Clough of Hartland, VT, Velma Lucas and husband Omar of Littleton, NH, Arthur Cassady of Dalton, NH, Lewis Cassady and wife Colleen of Lancaster, NH, Norma Gilman of St. Albans, VT, Michael Cassady and wife Bernice of Littleton, and Linda MacGowan and husband John of Hinesburg, VT; a sister in law, Dixie Bogie of Barnet and Edythe Bauman and husband John of Barnet; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be on Monday, May 16, at 2 PM at The Presbyterian Church of Barnet at West Barnet, with Rev. Dr. Howard Gaston officiating, with Rev. Dr. Dwight White assisting. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Barnet Senior Meal Site, P. O.
