North Haverhill, NH – Barbara Ann Rose, 84, of Sand Road, died Thursday, February 7, 2019, at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill.

She was born in Brighton, MA, July 29, 1934, a daughter of Michael J. and Agnes (McLaughlin) Heffernan.  Barbara married Gerald L. Rose on March 24, 1956.

She was a faithful communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Woodsville.  Barbara loved having and attending family gatherings.

She was predeceased by her husband Gerald L. Rose on June 28, 2012; and a grandson, Daniel Hoff on June 26, 2017.

Survivors include her children, Barbara A. Rose of Woodsville, Michael Rose of Chelmsford, MA, Mary C. Baillargeon and husband Roland of Littleton, NH, Theresa D. Sutherland of Woodsville, Ann Marie Rose of North Haverhill, Geraldine J. Rose of North Haverhill, Margaret J. Kizik and husband Robert C., Jr, of North Haverhill, and Joseph F. Rose of North Haverhill; seven grandchildren ; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Miles Heffernan and wife Rose of Marlborough, MA; a sister-in-law, Mary Jones of Lexington. MA; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, February 12, from 6 to 8 PM, a prayer service will begin at 7:00 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 13, at 11 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 15 Pine Street, Woodsville, NH, with Father Maria Sebastian Susairaj, HGN, officiating.  Spring burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bath, NH at the convenience of the family.
