North Haverhill, NH – Barbara Jeanne Uresky, 74, of Dartmouth College Highway, died Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH following a period of failing health.

She was born in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of Robert R. and Marion (Waterworth) McLean and graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School in Bridgeport, CT.  Barbara later earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA, her Masters Degree from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, and her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Plymouth University, Plymouth, NH.  For 41 years Barb worked for the Haverhill, NH Cooperative School District.  She was an elementary teacher at the Woodsville Elementary School and the former James Morrill School, and a middle school teacher and administrator at the Haverhill Cooperative Middle, both in North Haverhill.  Barb had also been a teacher at the former Haverhill Academy, Haverhill, NH, and worked in data processing for 17 years at Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank.  She also worked with her parents at McLean's Greenhouse in North Haverhill and later became the owner of the business for several years.

For the past several years she has wintered in Myrtle Beach, SC.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Robert Russell McLean, Jr.

Surviving family members include and her spouse Charles Herrick of North Haverhill; her daughter Allison Uresky Weeks and husband Robert Weeks of Concord, NH; a niece Erin McLean, and a nephew Shawn McLean, and sister in law Sheila McLean of Myrtle Beach, SC

A Celebration of Barb's life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at the Horse Meadow Senior Center, 91 Horse Meadow Road, North Haverhill, NH from 1-3 PM.
