Barnet, VT – Barbara Lee Warden, 70, of Warden Road, died Monday, November 6, 2017, unexpectedly in Danville, VT, following a time of declining health.

She was born in Hagerstown, MD, November 22, 1946, the daughter of Leroy and Mary Louise (Hoover) Martin.  She graduated from North Hagerstown High School, and has resided in Vermont for many years.  Barbara was a member of the Barnet Historical Society, and a former member of the Vermont Beagle Club, and also a former member of the Barnet School Board.  She is a member of the Presbyterian Church of Barnet, and formerly attended Faith Bible Church in Littleton.  In recent years she volunteered at the Barnet School, assisting with reading.   She previously worked at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab as a nursing aide, as she had great compassion for the elderly and eldercare.  Most recently she was an independent contracted telephone operator for LiveOps of Palo Alto, CA.

Survivors include her husband David D. Warden, to whom she married on September 18, 1999; and a son James M. Gray of New Jersey, along with six grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours.  A memorial service will be on Saturday, November 11th at 2 PM in the Presbyterian Church of Barnet at Barnet Center, 276 Barnet Center Road, Barnet, VT.
