Topsham, VT Kendall Bruleigh, 67, better known as Beaver , died June 6, 2009 at his home. He was born in East Corinth, VT, on July 31, 1941, a son of Mervil and Josephine (Pray) Bruleigh. After graduating from Bradford Academy he worked as a self-employed logger and construction worker throughout the Upper Valley. He worked on the I-91 Interstate Project and from the mid 1970 s to mid 1980 s he worked on the Alaskan Pipeline. Beaver also served with the Vermont National Guard Company A, from Bradford, VT. He was a member of the local 742 Labor Union in Alaska and a member of the Operating Engineers Union, and Earl Brock Post # 78 American Legion, Newbury, VT. Beaver was an outstanding hunter and outdoorsman, having hunted moose in Newfoundland and Alaska, but his real passion was deer hunting. He also enjoyed watching sports on television. Survivors include his children Bruce Bruleigh and girlfriend Bobbiejo Dyer of Topsham, VT, Diane Evans and Husband Leonard of Topsham, VT, Alson Bruleigh of Newbury, VT, Jackie Bruleigh of Lebanon, NH, eight grandchildren, his mother Josephine of East Corinth, three sisters Valada Richards of Milton, VT, Theresa Shelton of Woodsville, NH, and Patsy Bouley of Groton, VT, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father and three brothers Mervil Mickey , Raymond, and Robert Bruleigh, Sr. Calling hours will be held at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH on Wednesday, June 10, from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be at the East Corinth Congregational Church on Thursday June 11 at 1 PM with Reverend Michael Caldwell officiating. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Rifle Association, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030.
