Obituary

Ryegate, VT – Beth Ann Potter, 86, of Wallace Street, died Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH.

She was born in Lowell, VT, March 25, 1931, a daughter of Wallace A. and Lillis Warner.  She attended and graduated from Orleans High School and her Bachelors Degree from Lyndon State College.  Over the course of her teaching career she was able to earn her Masters Degree also from Lyndon State.  Beth was a long time school teacher, focusing on Special Education, teaching in Barnet, Danville, and Blue Mt. Union, retiring in 1993.

She married Bradley M. Potter on June 10, 1952.

For nearly fifty years, Beth bowled at the Gold Crown Lanes in St. Johnsbury, VT and was a member of the St. Johnsbury local Women's Bowling Hall of Fame.  Along with fellow bowlers, she and Bradley traveled the country in their camper attending bowling tournaments and enjoying their travels.  Beth was always accompanied by her knitting bag. When living in Peacham nearly fifty years ago, she was a member of the Just-A-Club.

Beth is survived by her husband of 64 years Bradley of Ryegate; three daughters, Lana Lou Potter of Ryegate, Sheree Sue Mossey of Milton, VT, and Risa Ann Crawford and husband Bruce of Ryegate; three grandchildren, Eric, Stephanie, and Ashley; six great grandchildren, Ollie-Ana, Alyssa, Damion, Jack, Blaise, and Jessica; a brother, Michael Warner of Lowell, VT; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Althea Warner and Shirlene Dolan and three brothers, John, Lawrence,   and Winston Warner.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 13 from 3-5 PM with a time of remembrance beginning at 5 PM.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Blue Mt. Cemetery in Ryegate.
