Groton, VT - Betty Elaine (Ashford) Wilson, 74, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015, at the Grafton County Nursing Home after an extended illness. Betty was born in Groton, VT on July 16, 1941, to Justin and Mary Gertrude (Emery) Ashford. She married Albert "Typer" Wilson on July 24, 1959. Betty enjoyed taking care of her rose gardens. She loved to go shopping, cleaning, and cooking for her family and friends. Betty was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, John Ashford. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Albert "Typer" Wilson of Groton; a daughter, Cindy Waterhouse and husband Lee of Woodsville, NH; a son, Wesley "Bo" Wilson and wife Brittney of Groton; four grandchildren, Carissa, Daniel, Ashlee, and Gage; two great grandchildren, Dominic and Zoey; two sisters, Charlotte Sanville of Groton and Ellen Roy of Claremont, NH; two brothers, Clifford Ashford of Wells River, VT and Pete Ashford of South Ryegate, VT; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In keeping with Betty's wishes there will be no public services.
