Wells River, VT – Bonnie Fitchett Evans, 69, formerly of Woodsville, NH, died Saturday, April 8, 2017 surrounded by her children and loved ones at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born in Concord, VT, September 9, 1947, a daughter of Clarence and Eva (Parent) Fitchett.

Bonnie, a loving, hardworking mother of five started her working career in area shoe shops. Most recently she worked in the deli department at the Hanover Coop food store in Centera Plaza, Lebanon, NH. A member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in North Haverhill, NH, also a member of the American Legion where she enjoyed selling poppies every year.  Bonnie loved feeding the birds, flower gardening, yardsaling, playing cards with family and friends, long Sunday drives, music and dancing, and being surrounded by family. She was a giving and caring person and always there to help in times of need.

She was predeceased by parents, Clarence and Eva (Parent) Fitchett.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Kristene and husband Phillip Gibney of Groton, VT, Debrah Cambra of Wells River, VT, Shane Thompson of Bridgewater, MA, Lesa and husband Andrew Longmoore of South Ryegate, VT, and Cherie Kinney of Wells River; twelve grandbabies; seven great grandbabies; a brother, Gene and wife Janice Fitchett of Lyman, NH; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no calling hours.

A public gathering and time of remembrance will be on Saturday, April 15, from 11 AM to 3 PM at the First Baptist Church, 1115 Scott Highway, Groton, VT.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
