Obituary

Bradley G Chisholm, 58, of Londonderry, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of memories shared with family, friends, and the many animals that seemed naturally drawn to his gentle spirit. Born to Gerald and Barbara Chisholm, Brad moved to Londonderry at the age of five and spent the remainder of his life in the family home. It was there that he built a life centered around family, friendships, hard work, and the hobbies he loved.

Brad was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Barbara Chisholm. He is survived by his sisters, Lisa Doucette and her husband Rick Doucette, and Tracey Woodruff and her husband John Woodruff of Florida. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces, Lauren and Ashlyn, along with his Aunt Betsey affectionately known throughout the family as "Bettie's," her husband Nate, and cousin Ashley as well as extended family members and many friends who will miss him dearly.

As the youngest of three siblings, Brad possessed a quiet and easygoing nature that endeared him to those around him. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend whose loyalty to family never wavered. Those who knew Brad knew he was a man of many interests. As a young man, he enjoyed playing hockey with his father Gerry and later developed a passion for motocross riding. He loved anything mechanical and possessed a remarkable ability to understand how things worked. Whether it was an engine, a piece of equipment, a radio-controlled car, or an RC airplane, Brad could usually figure it out, repair it, or improve it. In recent years, Formula 1 racing became one of his favorite pastimes. He followed the sport closely and rarely missed an opportunity to watch a race. His enthusiasm for racing and technology remained strong throughout his life. Brad worked alongside his father at Chisholm Landscape and later spent approximately ten years at Benson's Lumber & Hardware, where his knowledge, work ethic, and easygoing personality were appreciated by coworkers and customers alike. More than anything, Brad was a caretaker. He was deeply devoted to his parents and family. He helped care for his father, Gerry, during his final days and later became the primary caregiver for his mother, Barbara, following her diagnosis of dementia. He dedicated countless hours to ensuring she was comfortable, safe, and cared for with dignity, patience, and love. At the same time, Brad assumed responsibility for maintaining the family home and property that had been at the heart of the Chisholm family for decades. Whether tending to repairs, caring for the land, or handling the many day-to-day responsibilities that come with homeownership, Brad quietly carried the load without complaint. His devotion to his family and home reflected the loyalty, compassion, and sense of responsibility that defined his life. Brad's love for animals was equally evident throughout his life. Among the many pets that brought him joy were his beloved dogs, Java, Peanut, and Hazel, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Animals seemed naturally drawn to Brad, responding to the same kindness and gentle spirit that endeared him to family and friends. As his family often said, "all animals bowed to him." The bond he shared with Hazel was especially meaningful, and it is fitting that Hazel's remains will be laid to rest with him. Brad's life was marked by kindness, humility, loyalty, and love. He was not one to seek attention or recognition, preferring instead to help others quietly and without expectation of praise. Whether caring for his parents, maintaining the family home, helping a friend, fixing something that was broken, or caring for an animal in need, Brad could always be counted on. His legacy is found not in grand accomplishments, but in the countless acts of care, generosity, and quiet devotion that he showed throughout his life. The family and friends fortunate enough to know him will remember his gentle nature, his steady presence, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
