Lisbon, NH- Bryan Matthew Cheney, 24, of Main Street, died on November 18, 2011, after a sudden illness, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH. Bryan was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on April 24, 1987, to Arthur and Cindy Cheney. He was a graduate of the Woodsville High School, Class of 2006, where he participated in the Special Olympics all four years. Always smiling, Bryan enjoyed working at WalMart in Littleton, NH, as a greeter, cashier, and stocking shelves. Bryan attended the McIndoe Falls First Congregational Church and continued to support the Special Olympics. He loved and cared for his cat, Ony. He loved sports, particularly NASCAR, the Green Bay Packers, and the New York Yankees. He grabbed any opportunity he could to have a discussion with Red Sox fans! Bryan also played Yahoo pool and cribbage, and even double skunked his Grandmother Olson. He is survived by his mother, Cindy L. Cheney and friend Tony Brooks of Lisbon; his father, Arthur L. Cheney and wife Marlisa of McIndoe Falls, VT; two sisters, Jessica C. Cheney and fianc ` Brad LaBelle of Orford, NH, and Heather E. Cheney of McIndoe Falls; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Annette Olson of Petersburg, AK; his paternal grandparents, Louis and Irene Cheney of Peacham, VT; his niece, Addison; aunts, uncles and cousins; and his many friends. Calling hours will be on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 4-6 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A memorial service will be on Saturday, November 26, at 1 PM at the McIndoe Falls First Congregational Church, McIndoe Falls, VT, with Rev. Dr. Howard Gaston, officiating. Burial will follow in the McIndoe Falls Cemetery.
