North Haverhill, NH- Buckley Duane Nelson, 79, of Partridge Lane, formerly of West Charleston, VT, died on September 24, 2009, at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Nelson was born in West Fairlee Center, VT, on May 1, 1930, to Harry and Beatrice (Russ) Nelson. Upon discharge from the US Army, he worked as a self employed stone mason. He had lived in West Charleston, VT for the past 15 years. He was predeceased by his wife Linda Beth (Tatro) Nelson in 1964. He is survived by two sons, Mark Nelson and wife Trish of North Haverhill and Luke Paul of Barre, VT; two daughters, Wanda Jean Howe and husband Ronald of Post Mills, VT and Trudy Paul of Monroe, GA; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three sisters Shirley Jamieson of Williamstown, VT, Barbara Moore of Randolph, VT, and Jackie Martell of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 11 AM , at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Randolph Center, VT.
