Obituary

Lincolnton, NC – Carol Ann Pike, 67, formerly of Woodsville, NH, died Monday, March 21, 2016, at Catawba Regional Hospice, Newton, NC, following a brief illness.  She was surrounded by her family.

She was born in Haverhill, NH December 7, 1948, to George and Marjorie (Clement) Paronto.  Carol graduated from Woodsville High School Class of 1968. Carol worked at Scotties Discount, owned and operated Carol's Cake Supplies, waitressed at the Barge Inn Restaurant and then was employed as the Matron at the Home for the Aged in Woodsville, NH.  The job she was most proud of was that of a wife, mother and grandmother.

Carol was a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in North Haverhill and a former member of the Woodsville – Wells River Merchant's Association.

She married Ronald E. Pike on May 3, 1969 who predeceased her on October 31, 2007.

Carol was also predeceased by an infant daughter, Tina Marie Pike in 1972; by her father, George on August 4, 2007; and mother, Marjorie on May 8, 2009.

Survivors include two sons, John E. Pike and wife Danielle of Mooresville, NC, and Mark A. Pike and wife Wendy of Lincolnton, NC; a grandson, John R. Pike; a granddaughter, Kiana Johnson; four brothers, David Paronto of Lincolnton, NC, Dale Paronto of Woodsville, NH, Dana Paronto of North Haverhill, NH, and Dennis Paronto of Coventry, RI; best friends and family in Christ, Vivian and E.T. Mannix; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carol enjoyed volunteering at the Lincolnton Christian Ministries and The King's Daughters Ministry.  Carol gave selflessly of herself and her time to those less fortunate.

A service of celebration and remembrance will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the home of her brother Dale at 274 Swiftwater Road, Woodsville, NH.  A private burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Woodsville, NH.

Memorial contributions can be made in Carol's honor to The King's Daughters Ministry at 3762 East Highway 27, Iron Station, NC 28080.
