Carolyn Lee (Berwick) Barrett, 66, passed away June 7, 2010 at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born at the former Brightlook Hospital in St. Johnsbury, March 18, 1944 a twin daughter of the late Benjamin and Treasa (Ashford) Berwick of Peacham. Carolyn graduated from Peacham Academy Class of 1962 and lived in the Massachusetts area for many years before returning to Peacham. She married George Barret on June 4, 1983 in Manchester, NH. Carolyn and George enjoyed boating and camping. Carolyn had a great love for horses and dogs, especially the Dalmation breed, having two dogs of that breed, Fuego and Nixon. Carolyn suffered for many years with RSD (Reflux Sympathetic Disease) and was able to help other people afflicted with the disease through her knowledge. She completed several pieces of string art which she had the patience to complete to perfection. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Benjamin and Allen Berwick. Carolyn is survived by her husband George, a daughter Terry King and her two children Kristanna and James both of Brunswick, ME; two sisters Joan Lowell of Derby, VT and twin sister Carol Workman of Edgewater, FL; also a sister in law Jean Berwick of Peacham, VT; several nieces and nephews, stepsons and stepdaughters. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the Peacham Village Cemetery, June 26, 2010 at 2 PM followed with refreshments served at the Peacham Congregational Church.
