Celeste Ann (Martel) Rheaume, 62, North Haverhill, passed in her sleep on Thursday December 23, 2021 at the home she shared with Robert and Margaret Kizik. She was born in Worcester, MA on May 5, 1959 to Paul and Natalie (Davis) Martel.
Celeste was raised in the Ashland, MA area and graduated from Ashland Senior High School in 1977, a year early so she could go to work. She worked as a waitress at Tasty Treat, as an activities assistant at Dugan's Rest Home, dietary aid, home health aide, seamstress, childcare provider, housekeeper, caregiver, temp agency clerk and a sales person. Celeste's last job was as a LNA at the Grafton County Nursing Home for 16 years before she was too ill to work.
Celeste enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, crewel, paper crafts, reading, and gardening. She enjoyed spending time on the internet, reading articles, researching topics that interested her or communicating with friends and family.
She is predeceased by her parents, and a brother Roy Paul Martel. She is survived by her husband Raymond Michael Rheaume, two daughters Michelle Jannine Fienstine and Sarah Marie Rheaume, two sons James Francis Rheaume and John Burns of Saracuse, NY, three grandchildren, Shiloh, Shan, and Cian, two sisters, Mary T. Colby of North Haverhill, and Theresa A. Dandurand and husband David of Mountain Lakes, three brothers, Gary P. Martel and wife Brendal of North Haverhill, John P. Martel, of North Haverhill and Joseph P. Martel and wife Jennifer all of Woodsville, and a sister in law Rossana L. "Rosy" Martel of North Haverhill.
Father Maria Sebastian Susairaj, HGN, will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday January 10, 2022 at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pine St. Woodsville, NH. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Bath, NH in the spring.
