Woodsville, NH – Charlotte Mae (Sherman) Mitchell, 81, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH.

Charlotte was born in Littleton, NH, July 19, 1934, the daughter of Harry and Mary (McDonald) Sherman.

She attended Lisbon High School. Charlotte worked for several local area shoe shops. She also was a clerk at Eastman's Drug Store in Hanover for many years.  Charlotte worked along side her husband Ira, selling mobile homes.  Charlotte and Ira loved to travel and wintered in Florida for many years. She had a great love for her dogs and is currently survived by her dog Candy.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ira Mitchell, on November 11, 1994; her brother, Harry Sherman, Sr. in February 2016; and a nephew, David Sherman.

Survivors include her sister, Nancy King and husband Jerrold of Lyman, NH; several sisters-in-law, including Phyllis Sherman of Milton, VT and Jean Roy of Woodsville; a niece, Denise Parker and husband James of Lunenburg, VT; five nephews, Rory King of Las Vegas, NV, Joel King and Ming of Concord, CA, Harry Sherman, Jr. of Hinesburg, VT, William Sherman and Laurie of St. Albans, VT, and Kenneth Sherman and Ging of Massachusetts; three great nieces, Nicole White and husband Dan and their son, Brady of Littleton, NH and Amber Parker and Curtis Carpenter of Newport, VT, and Jessica King and fiance Sean Murray of Las Vegas, NV; three great nephew, CJ Parker and Holly of Concord, VT, Brandon Marin and Richard Romero both of Las Vegas, NV; along with many other nieces and nephews,  including Glen and Becky Mitchell and Michael Roy.

There will be no calling hours.

A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Bath Village Cemetery.
