Woodsville, NH- Chester Arthur Boutin, 84, died on April 29, 2009, at Grafton County Nursing Home. Chester was born on September 1, 1924, in Benton, NH to Napoleon and Alexina (Demers) Boutin. Chester served with the U. S. Army during World War II from March 1943 to February 1946. He married Jeannette Rita Tyler on May 22, 1948. He drove truck for Adley Express and Yellow Freight for many years, until his retirement in 1972. Chester had lived in West Milan, NH since 1960 prior to entering the Grafton County Home. He was well known for his vegetable garden. Chester was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Jeannette Rita Boutin on April 12, 2009 and a brother, Harold Boutin. He is survived by his children, Lynn Rossignol and husband Dennis of Milan, NH, Lorna Boutin of Lisbon, NH, Marc Boutin and Jackie of Cheraw, South Carolina, and John Boutin of West Milan; two grandchildren, Joanna and Joseph Boutin; two sisters, Margaret Ferguson of North Carolina and Phyllis Smith of Ascutney, VT; two brothers, Francis Boutin of Lisbon, NH and Louis Boutin of West Milan, NH; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at 11 AM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH, with Pastor Geoff Bretches, officiating.
