Chester D.
Ludwig Jr
January 5, 2024
Chester D. Ludwig, Jr, 80, of Bath, NH passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 5, 2024, at his home with his wife by his side.
He was born on February 12, 1943, to Chester Ludwig, Sr., and Sarah (Manoli) Ludwig in Winthrop, MA. After high school, he worked at Polaroid for 34 years until retiring.
After retirement, he got to do and spend time with what he loved like his home, his land, and animals. He looked forward to every day and found something good in his every day. He always checked in on his neighbors, giving a helping hand if they needed it, without ever expecting anything in return.
Chet was a very positive person, he had a passion for loving his wife, and for life itself, which included family, friends, hunting, his land, his many vegetable gardens, beagles, and his puddy cat.
Chet was a very private person, very quiet, and saw the best in everybody until proven otherwise.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Maureen Ludwig; one younger sister, Deborah Peterson and her husband Adrian, along with their children and grandchildren; one younger brother, Eric Ludwig and family; a very special cousin, Jean; his beloved wife's twin, his sister in law, Colleen Chase - whom he loved; his beloved wife's special niece Kym and husband Mike; his best friend James Sutkus and his partner Pattie; friends Kevin Hassey and wife Wes; Alex Sutherland, Sr.; Alex Sutherland, Jr. and wife Jean; Nancy and Dick Thibadeau; plus many, many more loving friends.
"You need three things in your life to be happy: someone to love, something to do, and something to look forward to." -Kenny Rogers
