Barnet, VT- Christian Henry Curschmann III, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2023, at his home. Born April 4, 1955 in Peekskill, NY to Christian Henry Curschmann, Jr. and Marie Sholan (Ackermann).

He graduated from Lakeland High School and went on to attend a vocational school.  In 1974 he joined the Air Force where he was an aircraft maintenance specialist until 1978.  When he returned home, Chris went to work on his uncle's farm in Cabot, VT. He was later employed by Eastern Artificial Insemination, Caspian Arms, NSA, VT Aerospace Industries, Vermont Microtechnology, and briefly at Vermont Mold and Tool.

Chris enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. He was well known for his humor, joy of singing, and playing his harmonica. Christmas was his favorite holiday, making a huge meal and watching everyone open their presents.  On October 14, 2011, he married his sweetheart, Kim.

Chris is survived by; his loving wife Kimberly Curschmann (Heisholt) of Barnet, VT; his children; Christian Curschmann IV and fiancé Stacey Dwyer of Lyndonville, VT, Nathan Curschmann and wife Jennifer of Walden, VT, Nicole Curschmann of Hardwick VT, Melissa Waterhouse and husband Corey of Underhill, VT, Ben Heisholt and wife Claudia of Barnet, VT, Tor Heisholt of Middletown, CT, Sonia Williamson and husband Jimmy of Fairfax, VT; 18 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; his mother, Marie Sholan (Ackermann) of Hardwick, VT; a sister Lesa Curschmann of Hardwick, VT; a brother Alan Curschmann of Fort Walton Beach, FL.

He was predeceased by; his father Christian Curschmann, Jr.; stepfather Larry Sholan; and brother Craig Curschmann.

In lieu of a funeral, there will be a celebration of life in the spring.
