Christopher W. Blake, 48, of North Haverhill, NH, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, June 29, 2026. He was born on September 13, 1977, in Woodsville, NH, to Thomas and Linda (Derosia) Blake. He was a graduate of Woodsville High School and Riverbend Technical Center. Chris went to work for Grafton County, maintaining the grounds and buildings while still in high school, and worked there his whole life.
He was an avid outdoorsman, a skilled hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed kayaking. During the summer months, he loved riding motorcycles and driving a race car, winning a few championships. If he wasn’t going fast, he was taking it slow, grilling and smoking his favorite cuts of meat. Come fall, his Sundays were dedicated to the NY Giants, and in February, the race in Daytona started another season watching Martin Truex compete for the Cup.
Chris is predeceased by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his son, Cooper Blake, of Campton, NH; his parents, Thomas and Linda Blake of Woodsville; his brother, David Blake of Woodsville; his friend, Samantha Randall and her son, Thomas; and the mother of his son, and his friend, Johnna Bishop of Barnet, VT.
Calling hours will be Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 1 to 3 PM at Ricker Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Woodsville, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A Celebration of Chris’ life will follow from 3 to 5 PM at Wicked Good Dairy Delites, 15 Petticoat Lane, North Haverhill, NH.
