Pike, NH – Clifford "Cliff" George English Jr., 67, aka KA1VIG, became a silent key on Monday, October 10, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Washington DC, December 6, 1948, the son of Clifford G. English, who passed away before he was born, and Madeline (Profita).

Many people will remember Cliff from his years at WYKR. He enjoyed his time there and made many friends as a result. Prior to that, he worked in the construction industry specializing in heavy equipment operation.

Cliff was a proud veteran of the US Navy, and spent three tours of duty in Vietnam. He was always a stalwart supporter of the country he loved and proud protector of the 2nd amendment and the freedom he fought for.

Over the years Cliff made many friends and always valued his time riding his Harley and experiencing a multitude of adventures with them. While he lost too many friends over the years, he truly valued the company of Manson Hoyt, Chip Ulerly, and Mark Wilson who were supportive and caring to the end.

He is survived by his mother, Madeline (Profita) Taber and many siblings.   His children, Sean English and Vanessa English were cherished by him.  He truly loved his grandchildren, Eric and Patricia English and held a special place in his heart for his granddaughter, Dallas English, with whom he was very close.  Cliff was admired and respected by many and will be missed…by no one more than his loving wife of sixteen years, Pamela Berg English.

There will be no calling hours.

A military memorial service will be on Tuesday, October 18, at 2 PM, at the Ross-Wood American Legion Post #20, 4 Ammonoosuc Street, Woodsville, NH.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
