North Haverhill, NH – Clifton Arthur Lique, 73, died on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center in St. Johnsbury, VT following a period of declining health.

He was born in Bellows Falls, VT, December 27, 1942, a son of Richard and Esther (French) Lique. Clifton served with the U.S. Air Force after high school. For many years he worked as a machinist for Bryant Grinder in Springfield, VT. Clifton married Norma Placey on June 3, 1978. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, yard sales, and riding the back roads of Vermont and New Hampshire looking for deer.

He was predeceased by a son, Jason Richard Lique on January 3, 1981.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Norma (Placey) Lique; two sons, Rodney Lique of Charlestown, NH and Gary Lique of Bellows Falls, VT; 3 grandchildren; a brother, Merle Lique of Montana; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In keeping with Clifton's wishes there will be no public services observed.

Burial will take place in the Upper Plain Cemetery, Bradford, VT at a later date.
