Dale W.
Briggs
August 27, 2020
Dale W. Briggs, (age 74), of North Haverhill, NH, passed away peacefully at home on August 27th, 2020 with his wife, Sharon, and family nearby.
Dale was born on November 22, 1945 in San Francisco, CA, to Warren and Dolores Briggs. He attended Sunset High School in San Leandro, CA, before serving his country by joining the United States Navy. After his tour in Vietnam, he graduated from College of Alameda in 1973. He used his degree to have a successful career in banking. Dale was able to pursue his true passion in 1990 when he opened a professional golf shop in Redding, CA. Once retired in 2011, Dale and Sharon moved to New Hampshire to be closer to family and grandchildren.
Dale enjoyed spending time playing cribbage and cards, loved the company of his friends at the senior center, and watching golf and football (rooting for the 49ers). He cherished being able to laugh and smile, and each conversation had a quip or sass.
He was predeceased by both parents. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sharon Briggs of North Haverhill, his brothers Don Briggs and David Briggs, his stepdaughter, Kimberly Peery and husband James, his stepson, Joshua Dickey and wife Kate, and four grandchildren, Holly Irons and partner David Tristan, Cole Dickey, Lydia Dickey, and Adelle Dickey.
He will be missed by the many communities he had been a part of through the years. He was a man of high integrity, kindness, and intelligence. A special thank you is given to the nurses who had helped him in his declining health.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Horse Meadow Senior Center, 91 Horsemeadow Rd, North Haverhill, NH 03774.
