Obituary

Warren, NH -- Dale Vernon Ramsay, 83, of Lake Tarleton Road, died at his home on March 2, 2010. Dale was born in Haverhill, NH, on September 24, 1926, to Earl E. and Edith M. (Belyea) Ramsay. He was a graduate of Haverhill Academy, Class of 1944, and served in the US Army Air Corps in World War II. He married Estella C. Cushing on September 12, 1947. Dale worked for six years as a railroad mail clerk and then as a rural mail carrier in Warren and Rumney, NH for 25 years. He was a member of the Warren United Methodist Church. For over 50 years, he was a member of the Moosilaukee Lodge #63 of Warren and served as a Past Master. He held memberships in the Knights of Phythias in Warren and of the Bektash Shrine Temple of Concord, NH. He was awarded the General John Sullivan Meritorious service medal. Dale was predeceased by a brother, Earl Ramsay and a sister, Virginia Lepkosky. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Estella Ramsay of Warren; four daughters, Cheryl Beraudo of Plymouth, NH, Linda Garland of Campton, NH, Lisa Maccini of Pittsburg, NH, and Kimberly Conrad of Pike, NH; eight grandchildren; a sister, Earlene Derosia of Littleton, NH; and cousins. Calling hours will be on Thursday, March 4, from 6-8 PM, at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30 PM. A funeral service will be on Friday, March 5, at 1 PM, at the Warren United Methodist Church with Rev. David Moore officiating. Burial will be in the spring at the Warren Village Cemetery.
