Groton, VT-  David Philip Gaskell, most commonly known as Philip, 63, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 28, 2018, at his home on Powder Spring Road in Groton.

Philip was born in Billinge, Great Britain, September 18, 1955, the son of Margaret Marion Gaskell.

Philip married Bea Cardwell on June 11, 1977.  He loved sports, playing golf, tennis, and watching Manchester United Soccer.  Philip and Bea moved from England nine years ago to be with family.  He worked for Walmart in Woodsville, NH as the clerk in the hardware department for many years.

Philip is survived by his wife of 41 years, Bea (Cardwell) Gaskell; his son, Michael Gaskell and wife Michele and their son, Logan of Groton; his siblings, Jacqueline, Diane, and Stephen all of England; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also of England.

In keeping with Philips wishes, no public services are being planned.
