North Haverhill, NH – David Hildreth "Joe" Clark, 81, died Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville, NH following a brief illness.

He was born in Franconia, NH, February 26, 1935, a son of Oscar and Doris (Hildreth) Clark.  For many years Joe worked for the Haverhill Cemetery Commission, and in more recent years he worked for Russell Keniston at his farm on Briar Hill.  He enjoyed painting, fishing and animals.  Joe particularly loved horses, having been raised on a farm where his Dad worked with horses.  He was the gate attendant at the horse show ring at the North Haverhill Fair for more than 50 years.

Survivors include one brother Donald O. Clark of Hiram, ME, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by two sisters Nina E. Clark, and Barbara Jowders, and two brothers Douglas and Lawrence Clark.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service in Elmwood Cemetery, Franconia, NH will be on Friday, October 7th at 11 AM with Pastor Shannon Keeney officiating.
