David Scott Laplante, Sr. 50, Newbury, died suddenly at home on Friday August 13, 2021.  He was born in Weare, MA on August 7, 1971 to Larry Hanks and Mary Merritt.  He grew up in Franklin, NH, moving to Corinth in 1989 and later to Newbury.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom foraging, raising Scottish Highland Cattle, and most of all spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  He was a talented jack-of-all trades, fixing and maintaining the family's vehicles and finding employment maintaining commercial properties.

David was predeceased by his father, Larry Hanks, Sr. and a brother Richard Laplante.  He is survived by his wife Diana (Charles) Laplante, a son David Jr. of Newbury, a daughter Sade Laplante and her partner Stephen Miner of Corinth, a brother Larry Hanks, Jr., two sisters Tina Izaak and her husband Jeremy of Maine, and April Clemons and her husband David of North Haverhill, and two grandchildren, Karlie and Arelia
