Obituary

Newbury, VT- David Clesson McIntyre, 80, of Leighton Hill Road, died at his home on Thursday, June 9, 2016, following a period of failing health.

David was born in Rochester, VT, on March 1, 1936, to Clesson and Katherine (Miller) McIntyre.  He was a graduate of Rochester High School and served in the US Army.  He worked as a foreman, manufacturing interior doors, for Door Crafters in Ludlow, VT.

In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Bethlehem (NH) Country Club.

His is survived by his wife of seven years, Linda (Boardman) McIntyre of Newbury, to whom he was married on October 26, 2008.  He is also survived by five brothers, Fletcher McIntyre of Rutland, VT, Donald McIntyre of Conway, NH, Neil Lawrence of Bridgeton, ME, Ernie Lawrence of Randolph, VT, and Larry Thomas of New Mexico.

At David's request there will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 28th at 1 PM, at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 487 Furnace Road, Randolph Center, VT.
