Woodsville, NH David Henderson Riggie, 76, died Friday, February 22, 2013, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH surrounded by family. Dave was born in Haverhill, NH, on January 29, 1937, to David B. and Arlene (Henderson) Riggie. He was a graduate of the Wells River High School, Class of 1956. On April 30, 1960, he married Sandra Adams. Dave served in the NH National Guard, Woodsville Unit, Battery C for many years. He worked in the paper mill industry in Lincoln, NH at Franconia Paper and later in East Ryegate, VT for CPM. Later he was the custodian at the Woodsville Elementary School, retiring after 10 years. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics, and enjoyed time spent with his family. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Sandy Riggie of Woodsville; three sons, David Mike Riggie and wife Tammy of North Haverhill, Mark Riggie and wife Meghan of Bath, NH, and Keary Riggie and wife Michelle of Exeter, NH; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a brother Douglas Riggie and wife Carol of Woodsville; along with one niece, two nephews, one great niece and two great nephews. A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 2, at 1 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to David s House, PO Box 660, Lebanon, NH 03766.
