Haverhill, NH- David Irving Smith, 19, of Dartmouth College Highway, died at Cottage Hospital on Saturday, January 16, 2010, as a result of an accident at his home. David was born in Hanover, NH, on August 5,1990, to George Frederick Smith and Brenda (Boutin) Martel. He was a 2009 graduate of Rivendell Academy. For the past three months, he had been working at Coventry Log Homes in Woodsville. David was predeceased by a brother Lucas Davis. He is survived by his mother Brenda Martel of Haverhill and his father George F. Smith of Piermont, NH; two sisters, Tara Davis-Thompson of Concord, NH and Laura Smith of Boulder, CO; a niece Elizabeth Laura Thompson and a nephew Alexander David Thompson, as well as numerous extended family members and countless friends. Calling hours will be on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 4-7 PM, with a memorial service at 7 PM, at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A memorial service and celebration of David s life will be held in the summer with dates and times to be announced.
