Obituary

Bath, NH- David Stimson, 67, died Tuesday, April 10, 2014 at his home following an extended illness.
David was born on March 15, 1947, in Woodsville, NH, the son of Wallace and Gertrude Clara (Hill) Stimson. He married Judy Robinson on June 4, 1966.

Along with Judy, they operated their dairy farm, Carbee Valley Farm, for 40 years. David cleared over 100 acres of land for farm and crop planting, and was one of the few farmers in the area to grow soybeans. He was always ready and willing to lend a hand to other area farmers, often times putting their needs and concerns above his own. He also operated his own sand and gravel business. David had been a maple syrup producer for more than 55 years, starting at age 12 working in the sugarhouse and orchard.

He is also a former member of the NH National Guard, serving with the former Woodsville Guard Unit, was a Selectman for the Town of Bath for nine years and a deputy fire warden, and served on the Grafton County Advisory Board for a number of years.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Judy (Robinson) Stimson of Bath; three daughters, Carmen Stimson Graham and husband Michael of Bath, Robin Heywood and husband Sean of Monroe, and Davalyn Stimson of Bath; four grandchildren, Caitlin Fullerton and husband Justin, Michael Vogt, Carrie Vogt, and Alexandra Graham, a brother, Peter P. Stimson and wife Rita of North Haverhill, NH and their family Anthony, Wally, Susan, and Sherry Hoover, his mother in law, Audrey Robinson of North Haverhill, a sister in law Laury Theriault and daughters Kinsley Sicard and Jaime Gibson, along with several cousins. David was predeceased by his parents Wallace and Clara, and his father in law Fred K. Robinson.

In keeping with David's wishes there are no public services being planned.
