Ryegate Corner, VT David Alan Winchester, 52, of Witherspoon Road, died unexpectedly August 11, 2009, at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville. David was born on August 12, 1956, in Haverhill, NH, to Clifford Hastings and Lottie (Batchelder) Winchester. He was a graduate of the Blue Mountain Union School Class of 1974. David married Deborah A. Hodges on October 2, 1976. He was a self-employed carpenter in the area. David enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing, horseshoe pitching, and prided himself in his cooking. A thoughtful, caring man, David was always thinking of others. He was predeceased by his father Clifford Hastings Winchester on August 17, 2008. Survivors include his wife Debbie (Hodges) Winchester of Ryegate Corner; a daughter Jennifer Winchester also of Ryegate Corner; a son Daniel Winchester and Liz Guida of New York, NY; his mother Lottie Winchester of South Ryegate. VT; a sister Catherine Hall and husband Chuck of Woodsville; a brother Matthew Winchester and wife Marie of South Ryegate; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; his father-in-law Verne Hodges of Wolfeboro, NH; his mother-in-law Joanne Bickford and husband Ron of Maine; and 2 sisters-in law, Lynn Seibert and husband Tom of Colorado and Sue Morin and husband Vick of Maine.
