Barnet, VT – Donald "Don" Francis Easter, 86, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He was born on June 23, 1937, in St. Johnsbury, VT, to Edith (Shastaney) and Floyd Easter.
Don grew up in St. Johnsbury with his seven siblings. He attended school in St. Johnsbury and went to the Trade School as well. He worked for Chandler's Greenhouse and EHV Weidmann. He was an avid sports fan and sportsmen himself; Don also refereed basketball games for 50 years.
In 1984 Don made the move from St. Johnsbury to Barnet. It was the same year he married Bonnie (Dunbar) they were married on June 9th, 1984.
Donald was predeceased by his parents, Edith and Floyd Easter; his siblings, Floyd "Gene" Eugene Easter and wife Brenda, James "Bud" Easter and wife Madeline, Lionel "Skip" Easter and wife Carol, Rodney Easter and wife Jean, Paul Easter, and Roxanne "Rocky" Stacey and husband AJ; and his in-laws, Harold and Barbara Dunbar, Duane Dunbar and Paula Dunbar Nye.
He will be remembered by his wife of 40 years, Bonnie Easter; his brother Douglas Easter and wife Hilde; many nieces and nephews; and Nick the cat.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 2 PM at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Barnet Vermont with Melissa Gould as celebrant.
