Groton, VT Donald Raymond Page, 66, died on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH following an extended illness. He was born in Groton, VT, January 28, 1946, the son of Forrest and Iona Thurley (Gray) Page. Donnie graduated from Groton High School, class of 1964. After high school he served with the Vermont National Guard. For almost 30 years he worked as a hoist operator in the granite industry for Rock of Ages. He also spent seven years as a self-employed dairy farmer in Ryegate Corner, VT. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes and playing with the Connecticut Valley Horseshoe League. Donnie liked fishing with grandchildren. Donnie was predeceased by his parents, Iona Thurley Gray on April 15, 1993 and Forrest Page on December 16, 2002; and a brother, Carwin W. Page on April 8, 2009. Survivors include his son, Patrick Page and his wife Elizabeth of South Ryegate, VT; his daughter, Sherry Horne and husband Kevin of North Haverhill, NH; four grandchildren, Brian and Christle Page and Taylor and Colby Horne; two brothers, Gordon W. Page and wife Sue of Cottonwood, AZ and Howard K. Page and wife Patty of Ryegate, VT; a sister-in-law, Jane Page of Woodsville, NH; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, March 13, from 6 to 8 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH.
