Westbrookville , NY-  Donald Edward Welcome,89, formerly of St. Johnsbury VT, passed away Sunday May 1 ^st at his home in Westbrookville  NY.

Donald was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on September 22. 1932, son of Albert Welcome and Lelia (Barrett) Welcome.

He married the one and only love of his life Izetta "Randy" Rand on November 27, 1954.  They shared their lives together loving each other till Izetta passed away on July 13 ^th , 2019.

He was a wonderful husband and father to his wife and two daughters Dawn Lee Devine and Penny Lynn Deletto.  His greatest joy was spending time with his two Grandsons Kenneth Edward Autino and Ethan Welcome Deletto. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his family and just being there whenever he could.  One of his greatest accomplishments was working for the Grumman Corp on Long Island NY for more than 20 years, where he was the recipient of the NASA "Silver Snoopy" award for his contribution in the NASA space program (LEM).  He also worked on the F14 Tomcat at the Calverton location.

Survivors include his two daughters Dawn Lee and Penny Lynn and his grandsons Kenneth Autino and Ethan Deletto along with several nieces and nephews.

Donald was predeceased by his parents and two brothers Albert and Charles Welcome.

The family is having a private graveside service in May at the Oxbow Cemetery, Newbury VT. Pastor Earl Brock will be officiating at the gravesite.
