East Topsham, VT Donna Louise Schauer, 53, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at home. Donna was born on July 7, 1961, to the late Fred and Barbara Smith also of Topsham, VT, and is survived by her four children Amanda Schauer, Allison Ingerson, Jacob Schauer and Christina Schauer, five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cooper, Damien, Kasey and Michael, brothers Douglas and Daryl Smith, and sisters Diane Valley and Doreen Redman. She attended schools in East Topsham, Waits River and graduated from Oxbow High School. Donna married Russell Schauer in December 1982, and worked locally at the Gardens Restaurant, Gould s Store, Shur Snap, Bradford Mini Mart, and Subway. Donna was well known for her cooking skills and ability to feed an army. She especially enjoyed cooking with her nephew. A few other life enjoyments included knitting, crocheting, traveling, casino gambling and spending time with her family. Donna was a member of the Bradford Fireman s Auxiliary, Topsham FAST Squad, Eastern Star, Moose Lodge of Barre, VT, and Barre Legion Post # 10. At Donna s request there will be no calling hours or funeral. Her wish was for those who wanted to celebrate her life to gather at the East Topsham Town Hall, 6 Harts Road, Topsham, VT on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 1 to 5 PM and remember the good times that you shared together.
