Barre, VT- Doris Eva (Ricker) Frigon, 69, of Church Street, died on Friday, November 28, 2014 at her home. Doris was born in Topsham, VT, on September 8, 1945 to Rupert H. and Dorris (Keenan) Ricker. She graduated from Groton High School, class of 1964. Doris married Michael Frigon on October 15, 1966. She worked many years as an LPN for area nursing homes and home health and hospice agencies. Doris belonged to her nursing association. Family had always been very important throughout her life. She is survived by her husband, Michael Frigon of Barre, VT; three sons, Brian Frigon and wife Julia of Vancouver, WA, Gregory Frigon and wife Lisa of Baton Rouge, LA, and Douglas Frigon of Barre; two sisters, Gracelyn Blaise of Orange, VT and Lillian Olsen of East Corinth, VT; three brothers, Harvey Ricker of South Ryegate, VT, Lawrence Ricker of Topsham, VT, and Roderic Ricker of White River Junction, VT; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Dorris (Keenan) Ricker on February 7, 1991 and her father, Rupert H. Ricker on September 5, 1996 and by a sister, Priscilla Ricker in November 1997. At Doris s request, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring of 2015 in the Groton Village Cemetery, Groton, VT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Doris s name should be made to the Central Vermont Hospice, 60 Granger Road, Barre, VT 05641.
