Obituary

Warren, NH- Dorothy Libbey Jesseman, 86, passed away at Speare Memorial Hospital on May 26, 2010 after a prolonged illness. She was born in Warren, July 3, 1923, the daughter of Natt and Florence (Balch) Libbey. Dot, as she was always called, graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1942, and from Plymouth State (then Plymouth Teachers College) with the class of 1946. She taught school in Wentworth for eleven years and in Warren for ten years. She married Raymond Bud Jesseman on June 21, 1947 and he predeceased her on February 26, 1996. Dot is survived by her son, Gary, of Wentworth, NH; cousins Pat McIsaac of Plymouth and Leland Prebble of Burlington, MA; a brother-in-law Stanley Jesseman of Campton, NH; nieces Dawn Jesseman of South Paris, ME, Deidre Jesseman of Wentworth, and Susan Diehl of Roslindale, MA; nephews Alan Jesseman of Glencliff, NH and Brian Jesseman of Old Orchard Beach, ME. Dot was active in many town organizations, including Minerva Temple Pythian Sisters for over 50 years, joining in 1947. She coordinated the Senior Lunch Program that was sponsored by the Pythian Sisters. She was a member of the Warren United Methodist Church and was Secretary of the Administrative Board for 25 years. Dot also coordinated the monthly drivers for the Warren Meals of Wheels Program. Dot possessed a great talent for writing, and was often called upon to write poems for special occasions. Her most recent was for the NH Night at the Pythian Hall for their fundraising dinner. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Warren United Methodist Church, c/o Barbara Pike, Financial Secretary; or to Minerva Temple #40 Pythian Sisters, c/o Patricia Dupuis, Secretary. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, June 2, from 7-8 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held at the Warren United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 3, at 11 AM with Pastor David Moore officiating. A luncheon will follow the service.
